1. Tiesto
Tijs Verwest was born on 17 january 1969 in Breda. His interest for music started very early,at the age of twelve he already created music. When he reached twenty it became very serieus. Now a days he is one of the most famous and beloved DJ 's in the world, according to Paul Oakenfold the "Godfather" of the English dancescene. Since november 1999 he monthly performes as a resident in Gatecrasher at Leeds, the most popular club of England. In february of that same year he has a break trough with his spectecular set at Innercity.

2. Sasha
Famed British hard house DJs Sasha and John Digweed first gained fame through club appearances and through innovative remixes, including the acclaimed Renaissance series. In 1996 the duo signed to the Ministry of Sound label and released a double album called Northern Exposure, distributed in the U.S. through Moonshine Records. A second two-disc compilation, Northern Exposure 2, followed in 1997 When an ordinary person is recognised at a young age for doing extraordinary things, it is easy to be misunderstood. Sasha, a musician in every sense of the word.

3. Carl Cox
So much has been said about one of the greatest DJs in the world. Carl Cox has excelled as a producer, artist, remixer, radio DJ, businessman, and ambassador for dance music. In the UK he is a full-blown 'Pop Star'. As anyone who has met him will attest, Carl Cox is the living embodiment of the perfect gentlemen, the DJ diplomat and progressive music pioneer. Carl Cox began 1996 with the launch of his own record label, Worldwide Ultimatum, releasing his debut self-produced album 'At The End Of The Cliche'.

4. Satoshi Tomiie
Satoshi Tomiie is, quite simply, Japan's most successful International DJ and House producer. Satoshi's music career began at an early age when his parents encouraged him to study the piano. He trained for an admirable ten years, developing a distinct passion for jazz. In school he played in various bands. Soon after, the sound of Hip Hop provoked him to not only form his own band but also to start his foray into DJ'ing and production. Then came house, as he became fascinated by the early Chicago mix-tapes he was hearing.

5. Paul Van Dyk
Originally from East Germany, Paul van Dyk is known around the world for his soul-awakening music uplifting clubbers and critics alike. He broke into the club scene as a DJ in Berlin in 1991 and released his first record in 1992. With production skills that matched his prowess behind the turntables, PvD remixes and original tracks earned him gigs across Europe.

6. John Digweed
Sussex, England. Now part of the jet-setting DJ elite, John Digweed has paid his dues by working from the bottom up. He is now an in-demand name at clubs and events throughout the world and, along with occasional partner, Sasha, is synonymous with intelligent, progressive house music. In the UK's DJ magazine's Top 100 of 1998, Digweed was voted number 7. Growing up in Hastings on England's south coast, Digweed's DJing ambitions began while he was still at school and he would spend evenings practicing.

7. Bad Boy Bill
Hard-house DJ Bad Boy Bill was born and raised in Chicago, and began mixing records at the age of 14. An avid fan of Chicago radio station WBMX's Hot Mix Five mixing team, Bill landed his big break when none other than Farley Jackmaster Funk gave him his first broadcast gig; he went on to emerge as one of the hottest turntablists on the Windy City scene, and in 1988 took top honors.

8. Icey
Paul Oakenfold. Fatboy Slim. Carl Cox. Some of the most revered DJs in the world have graced the decks of London-based Essential's globally lauded mix compilation series. Founded in 1985 by legendary ffrr A&R man/BBC Radio One DJ Pete Tong, the acclaimed series has established itself in America and has tapped the talents of DJ Icey as the series' first American DJ.

9. Diesel Boy
Once the underground's best kept secret, drum 'n' bass has crept into mainstream consciousness. A sub-genre that traditionally held second-class status in the rave music scene, the style also known as jungle now seems ubiquitous -- in TV and radio ads, background music, even in the works of some prominent artists. As Roni Size, from the drum 'n' bass hotbed of Bristol, England, recently told Rolling Stone: "Drum 'n' bass is on fire right now."

10. Danny Tenaglia
Since the release of his debut album Hard & Soul in 1995, and his subsequent beat-mixed dance compilations (Mix This Pussy, Can Your Pussy Do The Dog?, Gag Me With A Tune, and Color Me Danny), the DJ-remixer-producer has traveled the globe spreading the gospel according to house music.
